The Brief
The Bhopal Medical Appeal was set up to fund free clinics for the survivors of the Union Carbide gas disaster in Bhopal, India. To date the clinics have treated around 35,000 people. The BMA felt that their old site was confusing and outdated. They asked us to completely re-design and rebuild the site using WordPress and to provide an easier way for them to keep it up to date. The ultimate aim was to ease the access to information and to increase donations.
The Challenges
The biggest challenges were to successfully port over the huge amount of information from their previous website and keep their impressive Google page rank intact. Probably the most important aspect of the job was not to disrupt the donations from users and to increase them over time with improved ‘call to actions’.
