The Brief
Buddy London is a film production company based in Soho. They asked us to build a clean, minimal site using WordPress to showcase some recent work; the key directors on their books; and a simple news area. We advised the client to use Vimeo as a video delivery system as it was vital that the videos work on all mobile devices.
The Challenges
As the site generally had a lot of videos on the same page we felt that putting the videos in a pop out lightbox was the best solution – with the option to go ‘full screen’ if the user so wishes. The challenge on this project was more of a graphic design nature as the brief stipulated that the site had to look chunky and minimal but not boring. We also built in an easy way to add and remove videos from the ‘Featured Work’ area.
